Diy Clutch #1

       To design and create my own Clutches has been a project that i have wanted to do for some time. This project didn't cost me much. I used old vinyl and materials that i had from older projects to save on money. It took me roughly 4-5 hours to work on each Clutch. My biggest challenge was first coming up with a idea of how i wanted the clutches to look. I probably came up with 5 different ideas that were all so different from each other.  If i had the chance to redo this project, I would have cleaned it up more and made it to look more professional.

Materials

• White vinyl
• 12-inch ruler
• Needle
• Thread
• Scissors
• Highlighter

The first step is to measure out a 14" by 12" piece of vinyl and cut it out.




Along three sides of the vinyl, create faint guidelines to sew on with the needle and thread.

On this step, the vinyl is folded together with the "wrong side" facing outward. Using the guidelines from the previous step, use the needle and thread to sew the fabric together. When you are finished, there will be an opening at the top.

After the sewing process, cut off any excess fabric from around the square.









Next, according to your measurements, mark where your button as well as your button hole will be placed. Once you've done that, cut a line big enough for your button to pass through.

Sew the button onto the clutch where you made your mark.

Sew around the button hole for a neater appearance. 

This will be your finished product.

Lastly, Decorate your clutch as you feel the need.
